SOCIAL STUDIES

The study of Social Studies gives are students an appreciation for diversity and opportunities for service. Through a continuous study of people, places, and time, students will gain a greater appreciation for God’s plan for our world. Lessons from the past helps students understand and appreciate both the sovereignty of God as well as recognizing that “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8).

Our Social Studies curriculum is bold about its leadership component. Students will develop a global perspective while appreciating their own Christian heritage and culture. In exercising good stewardship, our students will be “called to service,” throughout the year. Although service opportunities is part of each curricular component, our Social Studies department oversees each activity and its relatedness to our ever expanding global culture.
