NorthPointe Leadership Academy Spanish Immersion Program
is NOT a foreign language program. Our Spanish Immersion
programs argues that from the earliest stages student
must be fluent in both English and Spanish. Students
will be able to meet the demands of an every changing
global economy and stand as leaders for our community.
Noting that better than 50% of the school age children
in California speak Spanish, and it is the fastest growing
population in the United States, equipping students
for this eventuality is crucial.
Students learn to read, write and speak Spanish all-the-while
as they learn English. Lessons are provided in Spanish,
providing students the opportunity to speak and write
in a language in addition to English. It is our expectation
that the Spanish Immersion Program is embedded throughout
our curriculum.
Although Students speak, write, and read in Spanish,
the emphasis will be on the spoken language for effective
communication.
Matthew 28: 19-20 says, "Therefore go and make
disciplies of all nations, baptizing them in the name
of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit
and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded
you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end
of the age."
