MUSIC
Suzuki International, 2004
The first grade music program provides an opportunity
for students to actively participate in music with an
understanding of musical skills and knowledge. Students
will enjoy a wide variety of music through singing,
responding, moving and creating. They continue to build
on basic skills of rhythm, melody, harmony, tone, form,
expressive qualities, and movement. They are challenged
to explore music as a new avenue to learn about God,
their world, other people, and themselves. The Music
curriculum mirrors the requirements as set forth by
the State of California Standard. NPLA accepts these
standards as minimum competencies and hold higher expectations
for all NPLA students.
