SOCIAL STUDIES

The social studies program introduces
students to our country's great heritage. Famous Americans,
historical events, holidays, and travel are integrated
into the curriculum. Early geography and map skills
are introduced to begin awareness of the world we live
in. The Social Studies curriculum mirrors the requirements
as set forth by the State of California Standard. NPLA
accepts these standards as minimum competencies and
hold higher expectations for all NPLA students.
