ART
The art program in third grade consists of developing
art concepts relating to perspective, folk art, imagery,
space, color, craftsmanship, geometric design, architecture,
3-dimensional work, silhouettes, shapes, still life,
design, and theme. Students will learn about Picasso,
Grandma Moses, and other well-known artists. The Art
curriculum mirrors the requirements as set forth by
the State of California Standards department. NPLA accepts
these standards as minimum competencies and expect our
students to not only meet but exceed the state standards
across each discipline.
