3rd GRADE CURRICULUM


MATHEMATICS

This unique math program focuses on helping students make sense of mathematics in meaningful ways. Number sense includes estimation, mental math, and proficiency in computation. Problem solving strategies are analyzed and students learn to apply their reading skills and the process of reasoning to assist them mathematically. The mathematics curriculum mirrors the requirements as set forth by the State of California Standards department. NPLA accepts these standards as minimum competencies and expect our students to not only meet but exceed the state standards across each discipline.
