SOCIAL STUDIES
ACSI / Abeka Books / Plato Learning, Inc.
The Social Studies curriculum in third grade continues
the theme of communities taking a closer look at community
life in rural settings and various cities in the United
States. Students also expand their learning to cover
government and natural resources. Basic geography skills
and terminology are reinforced as map skills are emphasized.
The social studies curriculum mirrors the requirements
as set forth by the State of California Standards department.
NPLA accepts these standards as minimum competencies
and expect our students to not only meet but exceed
the state standards across each discipline.
