The fourth grade reading program exposes students to
classical and contemporary literature from a wide variety
of genres: fairy and folk tales, legends, myths, historical
fiction, realistic fiction, fantasy, poetry, biography,
drama and prayers. These readings are representative
of a variety of cultures, historical periods and nations.
This quality reading program utilizes a literature anthology,
novel studies and skill based learning to enhance the
student's appreciation of literature. The materials
provide a springboard for exploring Christian themes,
developing strong reading skills, while raising awareness
and promoting the understanding of people of various
times, places, cultures and nationalities.
