5th GRADE CURRICULUM |
SCIENCE
ACSI / Abeka Books / Plato Learning, Inc.
Students build upon prior scientific concepts to develop
and apply their science process skills during fifth
grade. Students will learn specific areas of earth,
life and physical science through the course of the
year as they study ecosystems, biomes, forms of matter,
air & water and two transport systems of the body
as well as the reproductive system. The experience in
outdoor education provides an opportunity to incorporate
what the students have learned to the world around them
while giving specific attention to open, aquatic, and
woodland habitats.
